So many memories; so many years; it’s hard to summarise.
I remember Sarah as a baby in her cot; as the little girl I was tasked to ‘keep an eye on’ when we played out and, a little later, of walking her to and from school. I recall singing and dancing with her to our favourite tunes.
It would be hard to forget her ‘leaving school/16th’ party and the red floor polish through the house. She began her first job (Sainsburies) and then left home to go ‘flatting’ with her friend, Karen.
We kept in touch over the years via letters, tape recordings (audio and video), email and phone until it became difficult to keep the communication going.
Fortunately, I have been able to visit. I recall other celebrations; birthdays, weddings, Christmas’s - she loved a party.
Memories of so many times; of the joys and challenges along the way. Of ‘hello’s’ and ‘goodbye’s’; of laughter and sighs, hugs and kisses.
I treasure them all.
Sarah was a funny, affectionate, generous, intelligent girl and woman who I was so proud to call my little sister.
Goodbye, Sarah
Love to everyone.
